A writer and lecturer specialising in the landscapes of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, Robin has been painting Highland landscapes for most of his life.

Born in St. Andrews in 1950, Robin draws his subject matter from the strikingly emotive landscapes of the northern Highlands, particularly in and around Assynt, where he now lives.

Robin has exhibited with the Perthshire and Inverness Art Societies and The Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Edinburgh. In recent years, his pictures have appeared in the Broadford Gallery (Skye), at Brown's Gallery (Tain), Kilmorack Gallery (Beauly) and at the Aberfeldy Gallery (Aberfeldy).
